LEVITATION: Stefan Rusconi & Tobias Preisig (Šveits)

After a ten-year break, friends and creative partners Tobias Preisig on violin and Stefan Rusconi on organ have reunited for a new album, Palimpsest. It is exquisite music for those seeking inner peace and beauty. Recorded at St. Gertrud Church in Hamburg, the album is meditative, sacred and contemplative. Their music unfolds like a dialogue between two friends, supporting and responding to one another as they reflect on life and what they encounter along the way. The organ’s winding, resonant phrases meet the violin’s nimble replies, creating music that feels fluid yet full of meaning. A perfect breather amid the more high-energy concerts of this year’s Christmas Jazz festival.
