Philly Joe's Tallinn

Philly Joe's Jazz Club was born in January 2014, to be an Estonian jazz music incubator and bring musicians and audiences together in a setting appropriate for jazz.

During these nine years, the club has seen star artists from Estonia and all over the world as well as hosted over a thousand music events, including concerts, master classes, workshops, seminars, music cinema and different event series.

In 2016, Estonian Jazz Union and Jazzkaar Festival presented Philly Joe's Jazzclub with the Jazz Promoter Award for the restoration of the jazz club tradition in Tallinn. A year later we were honored to be chosen as the Club of the Year by Estonian Music Industry Awards and in 2021 we once again won the award of the Concert Venue of the Year. We were nominated in the same category as well in 2022. In 2021 our live concerts webpage phillyjoes.tv was recognized with the titles of the Virtual Event of the Year by Estonian Music Industry Awards and the Jazz Promoter Award by the Jazz Awards.

Our partners are the Ministry of Culture, Cultural Endowment of Estonia, Tallinn Education Department, Tallinn Culture and Sports Department, Estonian Jazz Union, Jazzkaar Festival, Music Estonia, Estonian Music- and Theatre Academy, Georg Ots Tallinn Music School, University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy. 

We only play vinyl records, give the musicians total freedom and coddle our guests. That's what a true jazz club is all about!
