Maarja Aarma MA’s new album Fall Into Love is a musical journey through landscapes of lightness, longing, and love. Maarja Aarma MA blends neo-soul, vocal pop, and Nordic jazz, creating a soundscape that is both intimate and powerful—rhythmically inspiring and melodically uplifting. The ensemble is led by singer-songwriter Maarja Aarma, whose soulful and warm vocals are supported by Janno Trump’s bass guitar sound, Madis Muuli on keyboards, and Dmitri Nikolajevski’s organic and flowing drumming. The band’s multilayered and atmospheric sound has also gained attention on the international stage.

The new album Fall Into Love, to be released in January 2026, continues this journey, weaving soul, groove, atmospheric textures, and heartfelt lyrics into a cohesive whole. The album is mastered in the USA by Randy Merrill (Sterling Sound), creating a strong bridge to the international music landscape. Following the warm reception of the single “Walk Me Home” in the United Kingdom and Scandinavia, the band is actively developing its audience in these markets and increasingly expanding into other European countries and Canada. Maarja Aarma MA stands at the threshold of a new chapter, ready to bring its Nordic, soulful, and timeless sound to new listeners around the world.

Finnish music critic Matti Komulainen has compared Maarja Aarma’s work to the early style of Erykah Badu, while Estonian journalist Merilin Pärli has written that “Maarja’s voice and the band’s energy fill the room and win over the hearts of listeners.” The song “Hazy Day” reached the finals of the International Songwriting Competition, and several other tracks—including “Don’t Throw This Heart Around,” “Give a Little Faith,” “A Sparkle,” and “Walk Me Home”—have reached the semifinals, confirming Aarma’s distinctive and internationally resonant songwriting voice. The latest EP Queenland was selected as Radio Tallinn’s Album of the Month in February 2022, which Maian Kärmas described as “organic like a flowing river,” marking a new level of creative maturity for the band.
