How do we become who we are, and how do our past experiences and memories reflect in our present day? Have you ever thought about how the lives of our parents, grandparents, and other ancestors influence us? They have stories to tell about the values to protect and the nation to keep free.
In Merle Karusoo's latest project "Who Am I?", Ukrainian war veterans who have had to defend their homeland from a brutal aggressor take the stage. The project team spent two weeks in June 2025 in Rivne, Ukraine, conducting interviews with war veterans. The second part of the project took place before the Freedom Festival in Narva, where rehearsals were held. The world premiere of the project will take place at the Freedom Festival.
The production is brought to the stage by Theatre R.A.A.A.M. and the Rivne Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre.
