Valentine’s Day Ballet Gala

February 16th at the Vanemuine Theatre Small Building

For the first time, the Tallinn Music and Ballet School (MUBA), Heino Eller Music School, Vanemuine Dance and Ballet School, and Vanemuine Theatre are coming together to present Estonia’s young music and dance talents in a special Valentine’s Day gala.
The first part of the ballet gala, titled From Classics to Cats, features performances by students from the Vanemuine Dance and Ballet School alongside ballet artists from Vanemuine Theatre, as well as the children’s ensemble and symphonietta from the Heino Eller Music School.
The second half of the gala will present The Tempest, a ballet set to the music of Antonio Vivaldi and Max Richter. Directed by Helen Veidebaum, this production will be performed by ballet students from the Tallinn Music and Ballet School (MUBA).
The gala will be conducted by Mikk Murdvee, who will also conduct Vanemuine Theatre’s production of Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake in spring.
