Thilia Tamminen/Tuomo Uusitalo Duo album 'I Wonder' presentation concert (FI)
Thursday, February 26, 8 p.m. at Philly Joe's Jazz Club
In February 2026 Finnish musicians Thilia Tamminen and Tuomo Uusitalo will be releasing their collaborative album "I Wonder" - a collection of originals derived and influenced by the Great American Songbook.
The album is a beautiful and complete collection of experienced, relatable stories that have accompanied Thilia and Tuomo for a long time, and are now finding their way into the hearts of listeners. The songs are sung in three different languages, English, Swedish and Finnish.
Airy songs and stories are gently supported by the piano as the musicians show a piece of their hearts in every word and note. Together, the piano and vocals convey what words alone cannot.
Thilia Tamminen is a Finnish vocalist, whose expertise expands over many fields in art; she is a singer, composer and music educator, as well as an actor, producer and a writer. Thilia’s unique approach to jazz standards brings a fresh and exciting point of view to a well-known repertoire.
