Carl Winther Trio (DK-LV-DE)

The versatile and extraordinarily gifted piano player Carl Winther has gathered a European all star trio which takes the listener on an explosive journey, while also showing the fragile side of a piano jazz trio.

Carl Winther has already received international recognition through his sideman gigs with jazz icons such as Randy Brecker, Jerry Bergonzi and Walt Weiskopf. His incredible discography showcases beautifully melodic lyricism, with notable recent releases including the albums “Blue DNA” (2025), “Relaxin’” (2022) and “A Ballad Moment: Second View” (2023).

With this trio Carl Winther shows himself as the personal piano player and composer he also is! Along with Makar Novikov on bass and Ivars Arutjunjans on drums, Carl has found two international sidemen with whom he can realize his music.

The trio showcases modern jazz with great dedication and respect for the jazz heritage, but certainly with a fresh approach.
