From Riga comes one of the most energetic and stylistically free instrumental bands in the Baltics – Very Cool People. Combining elements of jazz, funk, rock, soul, hip-hop, and even rave, this band consistently surprises with its originality and relentless energy.

The band’s latest projects prominently feature collaboration with Daniela Mase – a young, incredibly talented singer whose powerful voice brings a delightful sparkle to the group’s sound. Together with eight players on stage, featuring four horns and a powerful rhythm section they make up a grand orchestra who are certain to deliver a high-energy show.

The band has released ten critically acclaimed studio albums, earning multiple award nominations along the way. In Jazz ‘N’ More’s review their latest album “Dzīvs” (2024) is said to have nods to the Balkans and Caribbean salsa rhythms as well as electronic dance music influences. As the name “Dzīvs” states (meaning “Alive”), the music is filled with improvisational elements and exuberant joy - as is the experience guaranteed by Very Cool People with their live shows!
