Kristin Kalnapenk's concert "Thank you, EMTA" will feature the singer's contemporary work, which was born in 2019–2025 during her jazz music studies at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Her songs reflect a passionate inner world, love, and vital, deeply touching feelings and experiences.
Singer Kristin Kalnapenk, who has just returned from the United States, is an artist on every level. For her, music is one of the many forms of expression through which feelings are released that carry, inspire, and guide the listener through our wonderful and unpredictable world.
Kristin's main role models include Betty Carter, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Nina Simone, Whitney Houston and D'Angelo. She has a bachelor's degree from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and is pursuing a master's degree in jazz singing, composition and pedagogy. The singer's voice has been shaped by US and Estonian singing teachers Janet Taylor Jackson-Lummer, Kadri Voorand, Anne-Liis Poll and Susan Musselman.
