TMW 2025 | Funk Embassy kontsertõhtu

Tallinn Music Week has always been a special occasion for the Estonian Funk Embassy. With a "booties shaken, souls stirred" formula, we've been delivering funk-soul-disco music since 2016. This time, we've found our home in the heart of the Telliskivi Creative City at the Von Krahl Theatre. We'll bring to you a palette of carefully curated funk, soul, disco, r&b and jazz music from all over the world as well as a fine pick of the local Estonian uprising scene.

Rosettes from Finland, who have just taken the Khruangbin canon forward in their own way at Timmion Records will open the night, followed by instrumental jazz-funk wizard Mikk Kaasik. Salomea will take you on a journey into new school jazz, hiphop and R&B. Then it’s tie for RETI, set up to release new singles from her upcoming album, and turning up the heat with her powerful vocals. Haldi & ans Flamingo, local renovators of estrada soul, and Ki! from Denmark will bring the night to a close with their vintage global soul and funk grooves.

Funk Embassy Afterparty: CEZAIRE (FR)

After 6 bands have shaken your booties at the Funk Embassy night, 5 selectors welcome you to the party at Fonoteek. In addition to the local support, CEZAIRE from France headlines the bill. Cezaire is a DJ-producer with a body of work that speaks for itself. He is also the founder of Roche Musique, renowned purveyor of modern disco, house and R&B, based in Paris. Even the most demanding music lover will rejoice, since the selection of sounds will blast via audiophile grade Funktion One. Booties shaken, souls stirred!
