Opera Gala

Opera Gala
/Ooperigala/

This year’s opera gala is dedicated to Giacomo Puccini to commemorate the passing of a hundred years from his death on 29 November. Currently, the repertoire of the Vanemuine Theatre includes his famous operas Turandot and Madama Butterfly. As of spring 2025, the audiences will also be able to enjoy a new production of the opera La Bohème.

Alongside soloists from Vanemuine Theatre, Ukrainian soprano Tamara Kalinkina, as well as tenor Raimonds Bramanis and baritone Jānis Apeinis from the Latvian National Opera, will take center stage to dazzle the audience at the opera gala. All three currently star in Vanemuine’s productions of Puccini’s works. Additionally, Kalinkina and Apeinis will headline the upcoming production of Puccini’s opera La Bohème in spring.
