The Philly Joe’s Summer Residency programme provides a platform for talented young Estonian artists on the jazz scene! New ensembles, colourful programs and the opportunity to hear jazz and music with its influences from a new perspective on every concert evening - all this is offered by selected artists, week after week throughout the summer.
July’s resident is Vladimir (Vova) Todurov whose concerts will take place on Fridays (04.07, 11.07 25.07) and on Wednesday 16.07. Every week you can discover Vova’s projects with different collaborators and themes!
“Latin Rhythms”
The concert will feature samba, bossa nova, salsa and other Latin American rhythms performed by the Vova Todurov Quartet. A night filled with joyous music will be sure to impress!
Vladimir (Vova) Todurov is an Estonian younger generation jazz pianist. He has a bachelor’s degree in music pedagogy from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. It was there that he developed his interest in jazz music and began creating his own compositions. Vova is a member of several bands and also often performs as a piano accompanist for soloists, ensembles and choirs. You can also often find him behind the piano at Philly Joe’s' jam sessions!
