 (Telliskivi tänav 60a, Tallinn)

Michael Mayo, a rapidly rising vocal talent, is coming to Estonia for the first time! With a velvety voice reminiscent of Frank Ocean, Mayo has released two successful studio albums, toured with Herbie Hancock and Jacob Collier, and collaborated on projects with Ben Wendel and Kneebody. In Tallinn, Mayo will present his latest album, Fly, released in October. Exceptional vocal performances, playful original compositions, and fresh interpretations of jazz standards make this a must-hear for every jazz enthusiast!

Michael Mayo’s musical identity began taking shape long before he stepped onto the stage. As the son of two accomplished musicians, young Mayo grew up in close proximity to legends such as Diana Ross, Luther Vandross, and Stevie Wonder. This environment helped him carve a path focused on innovative expressions of R&B and jazz. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Boston, Mayo continued his studies at the prestigious Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz, where his mentors included Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, and Luciana Souza. Today, Michael Mayo is an experienced international performer, with career highlights that include performances at the White House, successful tours across the U.S. and Europe, and collaborations with numerous legends of the jazz world.

Michael Mayo leaves a lasting impression on audiences with his positive charisma and authentic stage presence. His concerts are adorned with expansive vocal harmonies and a masterful sense of rhythm and blues combined with jazz.
